“The Real McCoy”

Editor’s Note:  SGG’s Bishop’s(?) Corner is always a disgustingly disingenuous collage of “S&S” (“Syrup & Sanctimony”), but Dannie’s May 27, 2018 ‘Corner (click here)  was particularly nauseating.  After regaling his Gerties with his usual over-the-top dose of meaningless holy-speak, he finished it off with his usual graphic depictions of his feral cats’ gory exploits – fantastical ravings of a diseased mind.  This got us to thinking: is there really any hope for Dannie?  Will he ever be jostled from his demented dream-world into the world of reality?  We think not.

After more than a half-decade of documenting Dannie's and Tony's misdeeds, their fraudulent “apostolstes,” their parasitic life-style, etc. -- we are coming to the conclusion that those two will never change, but will continue on their crooked course for ever and ever, no matter what we do or say.  And we are also of the opinion that we have said enough – that we have more than proved that these two are imposters – so, why waste our time proving it over and over again?  We think we've already convinced the right audience -- so why waste our time trying to convince the intransigent "hard core"?

Actually, we have better things to do with our time than waste it on these parasites, and perhaps it’s time that we move on to bigger and better things.  (In fact, both we and the folks at Pistrina Liturgica have been coming to this conclusion for the past year or so.)  After all, we have made our point – and, more importantly, it has hit home: both attendance and revenue are down at SGG; and no one (outside the cult-center walls) takes these clowns seriously anymore.  In TradWorld, they are finished – so why should we keep expending our energy embellishing what we've already proved?

That said, we have decided to “wind down” our blog, because, again, we believe that we have “accomplished our mission” and have “proven our point” (and we'd now like to devote more time to our family and friends!).  In what we have written to date, enough has already been documented to forewarn everyone about these imposters – and, as they say, “forewarned is fore-armed.” However, we should point out that our blog will not go away: all that we have posted to date will remain, to serve as a permanent, standing warning against anyone potentially becoming a new victim of these hucksters.

We will not quit just yet, though.  Along with the following article, we have a few more left “in the pipeline” before “running out.” [And -- who knows? -- we may  still occasionally publish even after our official “shutdown” date, if we feel inclined to do so.]  But, for the most part, our thinking is that, again, we've "done enough," and that we think it's about time to "retire."  With that said, here is the first of our remaining "pipeline" articles…

A recent Pistrina Liturgica article (click here) pointed out one of the real “hazards” of Tradistan: the validity of orders – especially regarding one’s lineage.  As PL correctly noted, one cannot always rely on a “priest’s” (or “bishop’s”) lineage being valid, until one investigates the entire “chain” of that lineage.  But one thought that struck us is this: the problem with Tradistan, is that most “clergy” think that their orders are valid, and that it’s “the other guy’s” orders that are suspect – and they in fact typically use this as a “bargaining chip” to convince people to come to them, rather than to that “other guy.”   Most, too, are too proud to admit of any “lineage” defect anyway -- and thus, would not humble themselves to submit to getting conditional orders (which is the easiest and most obvious “fix”).

And in reading PL’s article, another thought that struck us is that “lineage” is not the only litmus test that traddies use for defining “validity,” or for determining who or what is “Catholic.”  Besides lineage as a validation factor, for example, they also try to impose their own private opinions and beliefs (such as sedevacantism) as criteria for defining what (and who) is “Catholic.” (In fact, sedevacantism is fast becoming the “shibboleth of choice” for many traddies.)  And they use these “criteria” to discredit one another, and to define (in their sectarian minds) what “true Catholicism” really is. There is actually a whole laundry list of “no no’s” that they use to condemn one another (and to define "validity").

Dannie, for instance, considers anyone going to an “una cum” Mass as “not Catholic” – and a heretic.    Dannie also condemns “Feenyites,” “non-sedes,” the SSPV, anyone who is “Novus Ordo” -- and (LOL!) anyone whom he considers “malformed.”  And the SSPV retaliates by attacking the Thuc lineage, and by calling anyone who attends any of Dannie’s chapels a “public sinner.”  And they both condemn anyone who is SSPX, FSSP, or any part of that “alphabet soup” that they consider verboten (as PL noted in its article).  The “bottom line” is that they’re all at each others throats, condemning, “excommunicating,” and “withholding the sacraments” to whomever they consider “malefactors” or “heretics”  -- as if all these issues were Articles of Faith and were theirs to interpret -- as if they were popes.1

All of this ultimately leads one to ask the question, “what is real Catholicism, and who are the real Catholics?”  And, ultimately, it begs an even more basic question: Who is saved, and who isn’t?  Only sedes”?  Only this or that “lineage”?   Also, are all Novus Ordo Catholics going to hell?  All Protestants?  What is it actually that one must do to "get saved”?  Does it depend on how much one prays or goes to Mass?  On how many Hail Mary’s or Rosaries one says?  On how many votive candles one lights?  On how many times one attends Dannie’s “show”?  Does one’s “justification” depend, as that Pharisee in Christ’s parable contended, on how many “prescribed prayers” one says, and how much fasting one does?  Are these the real criteria for “justification,” I.e., for salvation?  We think not.

And, notwithstanding the fact that many of these aforesaid things are good practices, they do not constitute the sum total of what being Catholic is all about.  “Being Catholic” is much more than that.  As our Lord explained in the parable about the Pharisee and the publican, it’s not so much about “the letter of the law” and about “saying all the prescribed prayers” as it is about being humble – and about charityAs St. Paul said in his epistle, If I speak with the tongues of men, and of angels, and have not charity, I am become as sounding brass, or a tinkling cymbal.”  And that’s just what many in Tradistan are: “sounding brass” and “tinkling cymbals.”

Like the Pharisee in the parable, Dannie is all about “saying all the ‘prescribed’ prayers” (and, of course, “the Show”) – but what about his charity? Where was his (and Tony’s) charity, for instance, for Terri Schiavo -- or for all those kids brutalized at SGG’s school?  And what about their “Catholic morals”?  What kind of “Catholic moral code,” for instance, condones fornication, and watching porn?  Is that what “Catholicism” is all about?  Again, we think not.

Dannie and Tony are the epitome of that tinkling cymbal – and the epitome of everything that Our Lord railed against in His parable about the Pharisee and the publican. They are Tradistan’s quintessential “Pharisees”: all “letter-of-the-law,” and no spirit And, of course, for cultists like Dannie and Donny, their “letter of the law” is whatever they want it to be – and which they (of course) selectively enforce. For them, “the show” constitutes their “Catholicism.”  Catholic morality and principles “take a back seat” in their scheme. Rather, they are, in reality, the antithesis of everything Catholic.

They are like that Pharisee who once asked our Lord, “Master, which is the greatest commandment in the law?” In answer, our Lord responded, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with thy whole heart, and with thy whole soul, and with thy whole mind.  This is the greatest and the first commandment.  And the second is like to this: Thou shalt love thy neighbor as thyself.”  It’s a simple but powerful formula, but one that -- like that Pharisee -- Dannie, Tony, and the Donster have completely lost sight of.  Instead of “doing unto others as you would have them do unto you,” they do unto others “what they damn well please,” so to speak: “playing pope,” condemning and disparaging their rivals, making up their own “letter of the law” rules (most of which re wrong, and all of which are selectively applied), and (trying to) enforce their own (bogus) “authority.”2

So, whether they ever get themselves “fixed” or not, and no matter what their “lineage” is, people like Dannie, Tony, and Donald Duckmeister will never be Catholic.  By both their words and actions, these lepers have proven that they are not Catholic – and never will be.  They are not “the Real McCoy,” but parasitic impostersplaying at being “Catholic” – and leading souls astray.  Their cult centers are not “oases in the desert,” but the desert itself.  And the sooner that people come to realize this, the better for them – and their souls.
____________________________

And that’s their problem: they are not popes.  They haven’t one shred of authority. They have no power and no right to condemn anybody – and yet they do so on a regular basis.

Again, they exercise an “authority” that they do not possess -- nor ever will have.  In some cases, they have refused the sacraments to people (either because they were “Novus Ordo,” or – in one case – because they attended an SSPX chapel while on vacation); yet, in other cases (where these “Novus Ordites” were wealthy, or had spouses who were big donors to the cult), Dannie and Tony freely gave them the sacraments. And on several occasions, they have refused absolution to people in the confessional, simply because they suspected them of having committed some “transgression” (of which they have absolutely no proof).  As usual, it’s a matter of “making up their own rules,” and selectively applying them – and ultimately, of course, it’s about MONEY.

  1. Sorry to see you go Lay Pulpit but when it's time it's time as you yourself have recognized. Might I suggest that you do a quarterly update just so that interested observers can "check in" on SGG rather than a sporadic and haphazard update? There are many ex-Gerties out there who were scammed by two priests who seem to be little more than flim-flam artists.

I did not used to think that way about Dolan and Cekada. What changed my mind was when I read Cekada's terrible disgusting defense of Michael Schiavo. Talk about a gut punch. When you read something like that it causes you to question everything you thought about someone whom you thought was well-meaning and sincere.

After what I've read here and on PL I believe Dolan, Cekada and Sanborn are hirelings. That is, they went into the priesthood for what it would do for them rather than what they could do to save souls and bring as many as possible into Heaven. Kelly and Jenkins by comparison became priests because they wanted to save souls. I am NOT an apologist for the SSPV and do not attend their Masses. What I am saying is that Clarence Kelly and William Jenkins began with the end in mind. Furthermore they kept to their original vision to save as many souls as a priest that they could.

That vision was the original vision of the priests who traveled mass circuits back in the 70's. The problem for those older men was that enough of the second generation of priests who could have picked up the ball and carried it were ill-suited and had other things in mind like Dolan Cekada and Sanborn.

Those three men need many prayers by the way. To turn someone away from evil someone somewhere must pay the price. Again you've done your job and with the exception of quarterly updates it is most likely time to depart the stage.

    1. Yes, doing something “quarterly” did cross my mind. It’s a possibility. However, even though this blog involves the collaboration of several contributors, the main task of organizing and writing it falls on “the Watcher,” that is, “yours truly.” And as Anon. 4:01 PM adroitly surmised, it takes a lot of effort and research to pull this all together.

This blog (and Pistrina Liturgica) were started by concerned Catholics who witnessed all the abuse and exploitation that these hirelings perpetrated – and we felt obligated to do something about it. This we have done. But it has come at considerable cost to our private lives and time spent with our families. As you well know, we never got paid for our efforts; it has all been done “gratis.” But there comes a time when one realizes that he has done his best, and cannot do much more. There comes a time when one’s family can no longer take a back seat (and must take priority). For me, that time has come. I have not just children, but grandchildren with whom I want to devote more time.

That being said, however, we are not necessarily going into permanent “hibernation.” Time permitting, we may write again – especially when something “blatantly significant” happens. And, as we said in our “editor’s note” prefacing our article, our entire blog will still remain as is, as a reminder and warning for people potentially falling victim to these hucksters. But our main priority now must shift to our families. After all, “charity begins at home.”

    2. Bishop Kelly & Father Jenkins aren't one bit interested in Catholic unity and keeping the true faith alive.
Bp.Kelly/Fr.J are entirely vested in keeping their pews full, denouncing non-sspv chapels so their parishioners cant ever go anywhere different, even on vacation,& denying sanctifying grace to ANYONE who doesn't pass the SSPV code of Canon Law.
Fr.J & Bp.K have informed all Catholics that Bp.Des-Lauriers' judgement concerning valid Episcopal Consecration CAN NOT be trusted.
However,we have been informed (via Bp.K & Fr.J) the SSPV judgement concerning valid Episcopasl Consecration is correct, pragmatic, and catholics must 'obey' their directives.
Bp.Des-Lauriers helped author the official dogmatic pronouncement for the
      "Assumption of the BVM."
He taught at the Pontifical University in Rome and subsequently ghost authored the "Ottaviani Intervention" circa 1969.
Bp.Des-Lauriers was officially educated and earned several degrees.
Yet,the SSPV acts as if Bp.Des-Lauriers is/was an uneducated barely literate unstable "Old Catholic Bishop" who flunked out of 9th grade.
Has the SSPV just ONCE offered to conditionally ordain/consecrate one single cleric who isn't affiliated with them?
No they haven't and it seems they aren't going to anytime soon.
(The Thuc line is valid & next few sentences is their logic.)
If the SSPV was truly concerned with unity and desirous of Catholics receiving grace, they would at least conditionally ordain priests and not care if said Priests were independent of SSPV.

    3. Thanks for your comment. For us, too, “Schiavo” was the thing that confirmed in our minds that Dannie and Tony were imposters (although we had suspicions prior to that). At times, we have been tempted to “pick up the pen” again – especially when we heard that Dannie and Tony (as well as others) were dabbling in granting “annulments” (as if they had the authority!). But, we feel, we’ve posted enough examples of their hypocrisy, duplicity, and fraudulence that people should have “gotten the message” by now. And If they haven’t, well -- then they never will.

  2. I for one appreciate your blog, your tenacity, and all of the arduous work and research that has gone into it, and all of the time spent, for all of these almost 10 years now?

From experience I know that most of the reports you disclose here about the respective traddie cults are true, and am always glad to have the various vignettes you report on here verified and expounded upon.
There was a time I thought I was the only one that knew of the nonsense perpetrated by these entities. I trust your reportage of the areas I have no knowledge or experience of.

I generally agree with your opinions and assessments, but there were a few matters and situations you discussed here that, while factual (with perhaps one exception that was lacking), maybe would’ve been better left not discussed here. I don’t think it was fair to report
on situations of people who were minors at the time certain incidents occurred. To report on the abuses at SGG school, in general, is certainly acceptable, but when members of this congregation and others can figure out the identities of the children and teens involved, a line has been crossed. All in all, you’ve performed a valuable service to inquiring trads everywhere and I thank you.

Might I make a suggestion? Why don’t you just do a once a month blog? You can do a monthly report on the latest happenings of the entities discussed here and people can offer comments, verification, etc. Certainly the upcoming YAG weekend will merit commentary, and the status of that seminary and those schools could merit a good going over every now and again. It’s always entertaining to hear about the latest decrees and mandates of how “high” high heels must be for their ladies! How about it? Again, many thanks, and I hope you enjoy your well deserved free time.

    1. To repeat what we said to Anon. 1:47 PM, we may publish now and then in future, but have no definite plans yet. As far as "crossing the line" (with identities being able to be figured out) is concerned, we felt that we had to reveal what we did (in order to convince the hard-core "skeptics" at SGG) -- and experience has shown that even this didn't convince some of them. The other thing you must bear in mind is that those other parishioners "knew who they were" anyway -- so we weren't really "giving anything away." (Besides, people from other countries reading our blog had no way of "figuring who they were," so we don't think this "blew anyone's cover.")

Anyway, we thank you for your comments; and we hope to find time in future to publish whenever we can.

  3. Hello

This is the first time since I read the archives here and at pistrina many months ago (a year +) I've read the entire post if I came here.

Sensing changes and what is going on behind them behind the scenes, saw the hiatus timing shift into the sense of what I felt was truly occurring and that it would be best for all concerned.

Writing on line seems fraught wherever it is and protected at the same time by the relationship which presupposes listening to him of the writer to his God, something so private.

  5. Like the title of your article “The Real McCoy”. I have taken all kinds of abuse from Traditionalists, especially the sedes, because I was attending an Indult Latin Mass with a pre-Vatican II Priest until he had to retire. They think that they have the only true Priests and then there is the una cum issue to complicate matters. After the Priest retired, I located a SSPV in my area. The SSPV refused to give me Communion because I had been attending an Indult Mass and even though the Priest was pre-Vatican II. The Traditionalists are so concerned with being Traditionalists that they have lost the meaning of what it is to be CATHOLIC. Thank you for being a beacon of light to help navigate in this crisis!!

  6. Yes, so many of the trades are an arrogant bunch of imposters. And if they refuse you, then refuse them right back -- because they are not Catholic!! They have neither the authority nor the jurisdiction to pull that kind of crap.
